Theatre Local - Random

Saturday the 27th of March

Theatre Southwark

3rd - 27th March 2010

'Two piece a Police cars
park outside our yard
right outside our yard.
For all to see. For all to know.'

Unwelcome visitors. Unwelcome news.

A family wake up to a normal day. By lunchtime one random act has changed everything.

Theatre Local is a new strand of the Royal Court’s work, taking productions out of our Sloane Square home and placing them in alternative spaces at the heart of London life.

Over the next six months the Royal Court will present a season of work in a disused shopping unit at Elephant and Castle Shopping Centre with each production presented in a stripped back, ‘unplugged’ aesthetic.  The season will begin with a revival of random followed by three current Jerwood Theatre Upstairs productions, Disconnect, The Empire and Spur of the Moment.
