The Mix 2010 did not disappoint! We were anticipating some big performances from our big headline acts and that's exactly what they gave us! Keep checking the Mix site because we're going to get some of the performances uploaded just in case you missed out!
Scorcher (real name Tayo Jarrett) is a grime MC and producer from North London. He began his career in 'Cold Blooded' where he became known for his 'shank' bars, regularly attending pirate radio. He then went on to give high-profile appearances on commercial radio stations such as BBC 1Xtra and Kiss FM, as well as taking part in a promotional campaign for MTV Base.
Hailing from Harlesden, this bright young star has fast been making a name for herself as a multi-talented artist. With the titles 'rapper' and 'singer/song-writer' under her belt; Princess Nyah undoubtedly possesses an entrepreneurial spirit that is nothing short of inspiring. Since her early days starting out with rap enthusiasts G-Fam, Nyah has been wowing audiences with her talent as well as raising the eyebrows of some well known music producers.
Over the last two years Kingslee 'Akala' Daley has emerged from London's hip hop underground as one of the leaders of a new British artistic renaissance. In 2006 Akala won the Best Hip Hop MOBO award for his debut album "It's not a Rumour". Since then Akala has rocked live spots on Radio 1 and warmed up for artists as diverse as Jay-Z, Christina Aguilera and Richard Ashcroft. At the same time he has tirelessly taken his acclaimed live show not only across the country, but as far a field as Nigeria and Vietnam. Akala recently released his third album 'Double Think' on his independent label Illastate. 'Double Think' is truly a hip hop album album and takes influence from stellar MC's from Wu Tang Clan and Public Enemy as well as the likes of Radiohead.
Egypt launched her solo career in 2000 and has gone from strength to strength ever since. With the goal of
becoming the long awaited soul inspiration that the British public have been waiting for, Egypt's vocals
and performances have thrilled many. Her latest single 'In the morning' was play listed on Radio 1 and the
Offical Video is available on YouTube.

Kat B is a quick, quirky and an all-round entertainer who is best known for his antics on 'MTV Base'. As well
as hosting a show on Choice FM, Kat is also an MTV presenter, comedian, actor and choreographer. Kat was without doubt
one of the star attractions of last year's Mix and die hard fans will be delighted to hear that he'll be hosting once

Hailing from north-west London singer/ songwriter Meleka, 21,was crowned HUGO URBAN RULES winner in 2008 after wowing urban industry execs as well as chart topper Estelle. Meleka is not your typical artist and her sound and lyrical content reflect that beautifully. 'Go' is just one variation of her style which she calls 'Dirty Pop'.
The prodigious DeeKay had already produced his first Mix tape by fourteen. A regular platform on Reprezent coupled
with an unbelievable work ethic has led to a further four mix tapes, two new music videos, a chance to work with the likes of
Ghetts and even an MTV debut! Grime fans worried about the state of the genre can finally stop worrying because whilst
the music is increasingly commercialised and the pool of young talent looks to have dried up - one bright star is holding
it up for grime!

Since 2002, when Infecta started rapping in the playground, he's been hailed as the young up and
coming voice from South East London. The 17 year old is known for being a unique and experimental
MC, recently working with the likes of Devlin, Miss Dynamite and Dizzee Rascal. After releasing
his third mixtape 'Never Say Never Vol.3' in 2007, Infecta's main goal is to become one of the elite artists
in the UK Urban scene.

Seanie T is a true veteran of the UK music scene with a jaw dropping discography featuring some of the most important releases in the history of UK Hip-Hop. Consistently tearing up tracks with collaborators such as Roots Manuva, Blak Twang, Rodney P and Estelle, his inimitable vocal style of Hip-Hop Dancehall fusion has won him critical acclaim amongst fans and peers alike.
Peaches Cadogan a former gang member who now works with charity "Reality Bites" which uses art, drama and other motivational work to help young people at risk, active gang members and former gang members. Peaches was also involved in the BBC program "Peckham's Finishing School for Girls", a reality series in which four girls swap their privileged surroundings for life on a council estate in Peckham.
Newcastle born rapper Stig of the Dump is best known for hardcore open mic antics. Winner of the international hip hop slam 'End of the Weak' and now its resident host, Stig has been floating around the scene for eight years. His second release 'Mood Swings' LP is due out this August and is already being hailed as one of the biggest hip hop releases of the year. Stig's lyrics combine both humour and dark truths that relate to his personal experience and social reflection. The future of the self proclaimed 'sexiest fat man in show business' is just as big as his stage presence!
The two music artists that lead the way for Indie Flyboyz are Estee and Shwe Voller. They became business
partners when they realised that they shared the same sense of determination and passion which would help excel the pair right to
the top. The Flyboyz aim is to encourage others to innovate and promote positive thoughts and behaviors in everyone that follows
the band.

With all the great music on offer, we also had to throw in a few laughs and we could think of no-one better than 31 year old stand up comedian Jason Patterson. Jason started out in comedy in 2006 and since then he's performed at comedy clubs all over the UK. Jason also won the Comedy Store Gong show (March 2008). His strong performances have led to him being nominated for Best Newcomer at the Black Entertainment Comedy Awards 2008.
'Ruff Diamondz' are a three girl collective: 'Chronz', 'Martika' and 'Troy' - all from London. They
describe themselves as 'tough and raw, yet precious' hence the name and say they are ready to take on the
music scene! Each member of the group brings their own individual talent in performing and writing to give
the group it's own distinctive sound. Although you can't casually place them in a neat little box, one thing
is for sure - you can't ignore them!

Reprezent's finest; DJ Shyne has been hosting his weekly show 'Keep It Shyning' for the past few years, getting involved with Reprezent at the tender age of 13 as one of their first young presenters. DJ Shyne has become a hit in the South London music scene, co-hosting 'The Mix 2009' and the 'Reprezent Launch Party' as well as DJing at a number of local venues. He is bright, sharp, full of fun and always keeps it shyney!
